Ashton's Birthday

Birthdays are amazing. I personally don't enjoy being fussed over, but I do love that it's day when everyone that cares for you takes the time to wish you - Be it in person, a call, a message or even a Facebook post - (That's the norm these days, right) - Even so, they've stopped what they were doing and took the time to wish you & that's pretty cool in my opinion. On Saturday, Ashton was the recipient of much such love and attention and it made her smile - Which made me smile - So we were both smiling all day :)

When discussing the plans for her birthday, she was very specific - She wanted breakfast at Superette in the Woodstock Exchange, then to walk around the City Centre for a while (Bit of exercise to get rid of the yummy breakfast) and then we'd go for some cake at the newly opened Velvet Cake Co. in Loop street - so that's exactly what we did.

{On the note of Superette - It's such a cool space, we agreed that if we built a house from scratch, that would be our muse - Open Plan Living. So cool.}

We spent the later part of the afternoon into the night at Tigers Milk in Cape Town with good friends - All in all, I think she had a great day.

My darling wife, I hope the next 365 days are kind to you and that you realise many, many dreams - I look forward to sharing in the celebrations as you do. Lots of love, Your biggest fan :)
